Greetings, friends!

Is the summer really almost over? It's hard to believe. Here in Los Angeles we're still riding the coattails of the season, getting in a few more beach days and barbecues before the leaves start to turn (just kidding, they barely turn here in Los Angeles) and everyone goes back to school (read: the freeways fill up again). And Rabbit Air, as usual, is gearing up for a busy fall. As kids head back to school and the Santa Ana winds begin to blow, the need for dust and allergen relief rises. We're here!

Here are a few things we've been up to in the month of August.

Ark Animal Rescue Event

The Ark Animal Rescue logoIt's no secret: Rabbit Air prides itself on customer and community service. With our feathered and furry friends in mind, Rabbit Air donated a unit to a silent auction to benefit Southern California rescue group The Ark Animal Rescue. The nonprofit rescues dogs from high-kill shelters and places them in foster homes until they can find them a permanent place to live. Ark also makes sure that the dogs are well cared for, with vet checkups, vaccines, and spaying/neutering and micro-chip services. We were pleased to help such a charitable organization carry out its mission to find great homes for orphaned animals.

Concern for the Health of Our Soldiers

A recent article in Science Daily detailed the respiratory consequences of military deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. A new disease called Iraq-Afghanistan War lung injury (IAW-LI) plagues those returning from service. Some develop new-onset asthma, while others suffer from an interstitial lung disease associated with inhalation of titanium and iron.

Recently, a soldier's father purchased a Rabbit Air purifier for his son stationed in Afghanistan. In honor of our soldiers and their loved ones, we are offering a military discount for those on active duty as well as men and women who have completed their service and are dealing with the effects back home.

Customer of the Month!
