3. BioGS® HEPA Filter
HEPA is the most trusted filtration technology in the world, used by hospitals, high-tech clean rooms, and scientific laboratories. Our advanced BioGS® HEPA filtration system is HEPA-rated. It builds and improves on the traditional HEPA; composed of a proprietary fiber material, it traps airborne particles 0.3 microns in size at 99.97% efficiency and achieves over 99.99% removal of ultrafine 0.01-micron particles3.

4. Customized Filter

Each filter is specially engineered to physically trap different types of chemicals, odors, common household allergens, and particles that carry viruses.

5. Activated Carbon Charcoal Filter
Made of high-grade granular activated carbon, our AC filter is much more effective than typical AC filters, which are coated with a thin layer of activated carbon. Chemicals and common household odors can be effectively reduced.

6. Negative Ions
Negative Ions are odorless, tasteless and invisible molecules that are found near mountains, waterfalls and beaches. Some research studies show that negative ions help to alleviate depression and boost mental energy, but that's not all that these tiny molecules can do. Negative Ions help your air purifier by latching onto airborne particles, thus weighing them down. This allows the particles to get trapped more easily by your air purifier's filters, or to settle onto the floor where they can be picked up by your vacuum instead of accidentally inhaled.

Why is the MinusA2 air purifier CERTIFIED asthma & allergy friendly® by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA)?
The asthma & allergy friendly® Certification Program, administered by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) in partnership with the international research organization Allergy Standards Limited (ASL), is an independent program created to scientifically test and identify consumer products that are more suitable for people with asthma and allergies. The Certification Program has included certifying air cleaners in order to address some of the contaminants that may be present in indoor air and to scientifically validate that air cleaners contribute to the goal of allergen reduction.
In order to be CERTIFIED, the MinusA2 asthma & allergy friendly® air cleaners have passed testing and meet the following criteria:
- The air cleaner can reduce bio-allergen level in a defined space.
- The reduction in bio-allergen is a result of actual removal and not just re-distribution.
- The air cleaner does not contribute to ozone levels in the home.
